Each year around the holidays, New York State Police and the NYS Liquor Authority conduct one of their sting operations to find local establishments, clerks and bartenders willing to sell alcohol to minors. An operation was recently conducted on November 21, 2024, and all but one of the locations tested complied with the law.
The New York State Police will participate in a special traffic enforcement initiative to crack down on unsafe driving behaviors during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. The special traffic enforcement period runs from Saturday, November 23, 2024, through Sunday, December 1, 2024.
Looks like Central New York will be spared from the Thanksgiving Nor'easter and lake-effect snow on Black Friday... but tricky weather could be ahead starting next week.
